5 ONLINE SIDE HUSTLES: To Earn Money From The Comfort Of Your Home
ASSALAM U ALAIKUM GUYS in the last few months we have seen a
massive push for businesses and modern
life to go online side hustles have
proven not only to be recession proof
but to be more reliable than regular
jobs in today's video I'm giving you
five side hustles you can start online
from the comfort of your home if you're
new to my channel welcome I make videos
about through living saving money and
personal finance aside from all the
benefits I just mentioned working from
home also saves you money you don't have
to commute you don't have to buy work
clothes or pay for lunch plus having a
side hustle from the comfort of your
home also gives you the ability to focus
in other areas of your life such as time
with friends and family house chores and
even hobbies teaching English online has
become one of the most popular ways to
earn money online and that's because
with the use of technology it is pretty
accessible to most people plus you have
the flexibility to set your own hours a
big thank you to our sponsor for today's
video
VIP kit VIP kit is an online education
company that connects students and
teachers globally through one-to-one
personalized English language classes
with over a hundred thousand teachers in
the US and Canada VIP kid offers one of
the most competitive rates ranging from
fifteen to twenty two dollars an hour
the curriculum for each class is
provided to you so you don't have to
worry about coming up with material work
only when you want to by choosing your
own hours and get paid via direct
deposit twice a month pretty good right
the duration of each class is only 25
minutes making it perfect for those of
you who are only looking for part-time
work just a little reminder you will be
teaching kids in China so you have to be
available in Beijing peak hours meaning
daytime hours so like I already said you
don't need to buy any materials to get
started so there's pretty much no
investment all you need is a working
computer and
internet connection and a headset the
interview process might take up to two
weeks so be aware of that but the
requirements are pretty simple ability
to legally work in the US and Canada but
you can pretty much work from anywhere
in the world have a bachelor's degree it
doesn't have to be in education it could
be a bachelor's degree and pretty much
anything and you do need experience
working with children that could be
babysitting working at a camp teaching
any type of job that require you to be
around kids counts as experience I'm
gonna leave a link in the description
box below for those of you who want to
apply I highly encourage those of you
who meet the requirement to try it you
don't have to invest anything like I
said and you might end up really really
liking it number two virtual assisting
online businesses are thriving during
lockdown and more of them are looking
for virtual assistants each day a
virtual assistant helps a business or an
individual with tasks that can be
completed online
these can include customer support
processing orders and refunds calendar
management graphic design video editing
social media content and many more many
entrepreneurs and influencers use
virtual assistants so the work is not
limited to just businesses it is
important that you choose one or just a
couple of a specific areas you want to
specialize in before you start looking
for this type of work you know I think
it's it's better for you to advertise
yourself as being you know just very
good at one thing or a couple of things
then you know at everything you can use
online job posting boards such as upwork
or try a little old-fashioned networking
you can reach out to people you know in
real life your Facebook friends or even
just businesses you see online if you
see anybody that can use your help and
something that you're very good at do
not hesitate to reach out create you can
create a really
resume listing out the things that you
were very good at listing out your
strengths you can start a business
Instagram account to start growing your
presence and reach out to either
influencers or businesses that are
online number 3 make youtube videos
I am personally biased on this because I
believe that everyone should have a
YouTube channel everyone with a camera
or a phone and an internet connection
can truly have a chance of making an
impact before I had this grow that I
recently experienced I've been on
YouTube for a long time and even as a
small creator before I even had 10,000
subscribers I was able to make money not
a lot of money not full-time money but a
little bit of money this year I
rebranded my content and I've been
consistently working on this channel and
you know back in March when I lost my
job I wasn't making any money but I
recently started making a pretty nice
amount of money doing something that I
love the key to creating videos that
will eventually turn into a side hustle
or maybe even a full-time income is to
create from a place of service it's
gonna be a little bit corny what I do
believe that with our stories we have a
contribution to make so if you can think
of a problem you solved in your life
chances are that other people are having
the same problems and those people are
on YouTube looking for solutions of
course you have to create videos with
titles around topics that people are
searching for that is the only way
you're going to put your content in
front of an audience you do have to be a
little bit more intentional in the way
you present your content another thing I
want to say and I want to make that
clear is that YouTube is not a
get-rich-quick kind of scheme it does
take a lot of work but once that work
you put in starts to pay off it is so so
rewarding and I'm not talking just in
the financial aspect I'm talking about
the connection that you get to form with
a lot of people it is unlike anything
else number four
podcasting much like YouTube podcasting
is
another fun way to earn cash overtime
unlike YouTube though the initial
investment of starting a podcast is not
as high all you need is a microphone and
a pair of headphones pretty much you
don't have to worry about buying a
camera or studio lights or an editing
software with podcast networks such as
anchor you don't need to pay a monthly
fee and you are able to monetize from
the start
anchor CPM is $15 per ad break which is
essentially fifteen dollars per you know
one thousand downloads and that is a lot
more than YouTube a lot of YouTube
channels CPM is two four six dollars for
those of you who don't know I don't want
to confuse you a CPM is basically how
much you get pay for the ads that are in
your content so as you see on YouTube a
lot of videos have ads videos like mine
and I do get pay per thousand views it
really varies per channel and per video
so when we're talking about anchor
paying brand new podcasters $15 a CPM
that's a pretty good deal if over time
you build your podcast to 1,000
downloads per episode and you add to ad
breaks meaning the ads that you
incorporate at the beginning of the
podcast or in the middle let's say you
add to ad breaks out a thousand
downloads that's thirty dollars make
three episodes a week and that's 90
dollars a week in a total of three
hundred and sixty dollars each month
just by getting a thousand listens to
your podcasts that's a lot more money
trust me then people make on YouTube few
double your views to two thousand
downloads per episode then that's what
seven hundred I think it's a lot easier
to build an audience for a podcast than
it is to build one on Instagram
seriously podcasts much like YouTube
videos are pretty much driven by search
traffic so people go on to podcast apps
to search for things so just like I was
saying about YouTube videos if you're
creating your podcast episodes from a
place of service in thinking about how
you're gonna help people and what
people are searching for this shouldn't
really take more than a couple months
honestly
number five sale used items on Poshmark
I personally know people who actually
make a full-time living selling things
online and places such as eBay and
Poshmark Poshmark
is an online marketplace for fashion
where you can sell used clothing shoes
and accessories set a small amount to
invest in this side house also let's say
you set a hundred dollars use a hundred
dollars to pay for shipping materials
and labels and to get your stock you can
pull things from your own closet or you
can actually shop at your local trip
shops of course they have to be high
quality items in really good condition
and see how it does you can even start a
little Instagram account to show the
outfits and give people a little preview
of what's coming it's definitely a
viable source of income if you put in
the work especially if you are maybe
going through your closet and trying to
get rid of things if you're trying to
adapt a more minimalist style this is a
community of people who do this for a
living so please be sure to check more
resources before you get started
obviously I only know so much I haven't
had actual experience selling but
there's plenty plenty of people who have
in there online talking about it you
know a site hustle it's a hustle for a
reason sometimes you do have to put in a
little bit of work and it takes a little
bit of time in order to make a profit
you shouldn't be discouraged by that I
have personally been making videos
consistently every single week since
March and I didn't make any money for
the first three months I just started to
earn a little bit of money on YouTube
and you know obviously that's not why I
got started that's not what kept me
going money certainly wasn't but it
takes time having a side hustle can help
you with your financial goals budgeting
and saving money is all great but the
truth is you do need extra money to
build wealth because saving is not gonna
be enough if you're not making enough
money earning extra cash
going to be another tool that's going to
help you build the life that you want
and that is all I have for today I hope
you enjoyed this video and found some
inspiration and go out there and earn
some money you can find me on Instagram
to connect with me on a more personal
level please take care I'll see you next
time
